Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Venus | Review

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick

Huda Beauty is a huge brand that is very popular with influencers and beauty fans alike. I have heard about them as a brand for a while now but didn't get round to trying anything.. until now that is. I was totally unsure where to buy their products because they aren't available in any shops near me and I think the nearest place I can think of is Selfridges stores which aren't in Scotland... yet ( please make one here LOL) Oh well I can't complain at least they have the products available online on the Cult Beauty website and also Selfridges.

Liquid lipsticks are all the rage at the moment and many brands have versions of them. Huda Beauty has an impressive selection of liquid lipsticks and I am so glad to have finally got my first product from the brand from Novembers Glossybox.

I have got to say I was super excited when I got news in my October Glossybox that it would be in the upcoming November box. Once I first got it I was pleasantly surprised that it was a full sized product and a lovely nude shade that I love too.

It came in no packaging just the actual liquid lipstick speaks for itself. It cost £18 and has 5ml of product which reasonable compared to other premium lipsticks on the market ( Jeffree star liquid lipsticks 5.ml at £16) another example being Anastasiasia Beverly hills liquid lipstick is £20 for 3.2ml of product).

The shade of the lipstick is a deep taupe brown and I think it looks lovely. I took a swatch of it below for an insight into how it looks and I also have some photos of it on Instagram too.

This lipstick is very lightweight and its formula doesn't flake, dry or transfer. It takes about 30 seconds to dry but its suggested to apply a lip scrub for a longer lasting effect. Not only is it densely pigmented but its also enriched with nourishing ingredients too ( ingredients list below)

I am so glad that I finally have tried Huda Beauty! I can honestly see what the fuss is about now. My favourite thing about the product has to be that it isn't drying which is a big bonus as so many liquid lipsticks I have tried ended up being dry and flake over time but this one stays in place.

As I said above its best to apply a lip scrub before using this for best results. Applying this is wonderful as the wand applies the right amount of product without needing to get more while at the same time applying lipstick perfectly giving the desired shape/style.

The lipstick applies like silk onto the lips and dries very quickly too. I have found that this lipstick lasts about 4-6 hours before needing a reapplication which I think is impressive. It doesn't fade or flake and looks flawless during that time period.

I am so in love with the formula of the Huda Beauty liquid lipsticks that I have started to make a wishlist of other products I want to try out in the future LOL!

Score
Product 10/10      Application 9.5/10 Pigmentation 10/10
Texture 10/10      Longevity 9.5/10.
Overall I rate it 9.5 out of 10.

  1. I've heard a lot about Huda beauty, but I've bought or tried anything from the brand before. This liquid lipstick looks amazing and I love the shade of it! I may have to try it out at some point! Thanks for sharing.
