'Valentine's Day' Bright Makeup | Tutorial

I am not the biggest fan of Valentine's Day in the world but I do love the theme of it.  I adore the love hearts, flowers and the colour scheme too, which is where I got the inspiration for this makeup look.

Now, this look can be worn all year round because I sure do because I love bright colour makeup. But since its a few days till Valentines Day, I wanted to do a specific post for this makeup look. This look consists of a variety of different brands from budget-friendly to more premium-priced products. I will give budget and premium options for each item though.

Preparation
In my own opinion, I find makeup sits better on the skin if you do skincare beforehand and prepare your skin for makeup. Firstly I like to use cleanser, toner and then followed by moisturising/priming my skin.

Face
Foundation: I always go for my Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation lately as it has a lovely soft matte finish and lasts all day long.
Bronzer: When it comes to bronzer I used KVD Vegan Beauty Lock-it' Powder Foundation and I know its a foundation but it works wonderfully as a soft bronzer.
Highlighter: I got this Pixi Beauty Glow-y Powder in shade Wednesdays in my last PR package from Pixi and damn I just love it! It has a subtle yet noticeable pink hue that changes in a different light.

Eyes
Eyeshadow: My eye makeup is a blend of the Jeffree Star Mini Breaker and also the 'Blood Sugar Eyeshadow Palette'. I really enjoy the mix of purples, pinks and reds, they work wonderfully well. For the eyes, I used the shades from the Blood Sugar Palette; 'Extraction on the outer lid and also above the crease. I then used 'Cavity' on the middle and outer crease. I then followed on with Mini Breaker Palette; On the inner lid and lower lash line I used the shimmer shade 'Oral' and for brow highlight, I used 'Bubble Gum'.
Liquid lipstick or eyeliner: I like using Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks occasionally as an eyeliner and this shade is called 'Yes M'am'.
Mascara: I am not choosey with this as the false lashes finish the look for me but if you don't like them I would suggest a thickening mascara and eyelash curlers
False Lashes (if wanted) I like the more subtle/natural ones but fuller ones would definatly work with this look.

Brow's
Eyebrow pomade: To get a defining brow look I get my brow brush and apply my Revolution Pro Eyebrow pomade and define my brows into my desired shape, you choose whatever you like.
Eyebrow Setting Gel: To complete the brows I like to set my brows with an eyebrow gel. My current go-to in my Model Co brow gel.

Lips
Lip Scrub: Any will do but for me, Lush has some amazing choices! I am currently using Lush Lip Scrub in Sugar Plum. Using a lip scrub exfoliates the lips for a better base for a liquid lipstick.
Liquid Lipstick: Nude lipsticks suit this look the most I think and the one I used for this look is the Huda liquid lipstick in the shade, Venus.

Finally .....

SET IT
I like using a glowy makeup setting spray as it makes the makeup look dewier which I LOVE!

  2. My, what a beautiful pink, and such simple steps even I, who is terrible with make-up, could follow them. I love the palettes you use here.
