Trying the New Pixi 'Eye Effects' and 'Nuance Quartettes' Compacts

This post contains PR/gifted items, no paid content. All opinions are my own

Hello everyone!
Pixi has done it again and brought out four new gorgeous looking products. Firstly they have two new 'Eye Effects palettes which are called 'Hazlenut Haze' and 'Rosette Ray'. The other palettes are 'Nuance Quartettes' which are in two shades called 'Sugar Blossom' and 'Honey Nectar. Prices start at £16.

Both palettes have the same design and are a handy size so they are quite easy to store or take with you while on a night out or travelling. One of the types palettes is eyeshadow palettes and the others are like blushers with some highlighters.

Pixi Beauty sells a variety of skincare and makeup. All their products are cruelty-free.

Pixi Effects
These are a selection of silky shadows which come in a handy size compact to make it more portable. They are versatile so can be used to create day or night looks. Ingredients in these include ceramides which help to restore skins moisture barrier, Green Tea which has antioxidants and also vitamin E nourishes and protects.

Nuance Quartettes
These are natural nuances of colour and these are great to use of cheeks and eyes. They are wonderful for blush and highlighting. As with the above, they have the same compact and a similar formula with the same benefits as the eyeshadows.

I just love the name of the Nuance Quartettes as I think they match the palettes perfectly. I didn't know how to use these when I first got them but I personally like to use them as a blush and as a highlighter. I use blush on the apples of my cheeks and well the highlighter on my cupids bow, the tip of my nose, brows and cheekbones "Yes I love my highlighters LOL" Each of these palettes costs £16 each and I have to say they are worth it for me!

I really liked these quartettes, especially the honey nectar palette as it has some beautiful golden shades inside. These are wonderful highlighters as they are very vibrant on their own but if you like me they can be built up for a more dramatic look. I have to say PIXI has some wonderful highlighters.

Now for the 'Eye effects Palettes,' I really liked them as they are compact, easy to carry in your bag and also have a nice selection of neutral shades. The eyeshadows themselves are very silky and easy to apply as they are but to get the most of these I suggest using a dampened brush for more intensity as they can be quite mellow on their own even if you do try to build them up, the payoff isn't brilliant.

You get 9 shades in the palette and they cost £22 each which is pretty fair when it comes to the price of eyeshadow palettes. I do wish the shade payoff was a bit more though. Out of the two palettes I liked 'Hazelnut Haze' as like I said above I love golden shades in makeup.

  8. I love Pixi as a brand, although I must say that their skincare products are better than their makeup ones. A lot of the time the color payoff isn`t that great, like you`ve mentioned. Although, the shades are gorgeous.
