I am sure many of you will know that I am a huge skincare fan by now, so I won't bore you all with that.  The amount I know about looking after my skin has definatly broadened over the years by reading books, blogs and watching programmes about skincare. I was kindly sent by the fabulous people at Ark Skincare to try out some their age protect range.

Their age range has age-specific products; Protect is for Teens to 20s skin ( which they sent me as I am 28). They also have Defend which is for 30-40s skin and finally Defy which is for 50 plus skin. I love they have age-specific products because let us be honest with ourselves our skin does change through time but we do want to take care of it the best we can with the right products for us right?

Ark Skincare is an award-winning natural, cruelty-free, vegan-friendly brand that has so many good things to point out that I will try my best to tell you them all! Their products contain bioactive natural ingredients, highly effective antioxidants, lipids and vitamins. Now with all that good stuff in them, they also ensure that their products are FREE FROM parabens, SLS, mineral oil, S.D alcohol, Formaldehyde and artificial colours and fragrances.

Beautiful skin at every age

An Introduction to a Pro-Age, Cruelty free and British Brand Ark Skincare
First up I am going to talk a little bit about their Age Protect Skin Clear Cleanser RRP £25 (200ml) The first thing I gotta say about this cleanser is.... thank blooming goodness it has a pump! Omg, the amount of cleansers I have tried that you need to squeeze and you end up either making a mess or having too much product is ridiculous, so high 5 Ark Skincare lol!

This is a soap-free cleanser has been designed for younger skin in mind. It is rather smart as it balances oily and dry areas of the skin, leaving the skin clear and comfy. The ingredients work in harmony, il explain how by telling you their ingredients and benefits. Watercress, Nettle and Horsetail are potent herbs which reduce excess sebum and balance the skin. Then we have Oat Amino Acids which wash away skins impurities gently without damaging the skin.  Lastly, we have White Tea anti-microbial and protects skin from radicals.

I really love this cleanser, firstly I just love the smell, it has a lovely fresh herbal smell that smells natural.  The cleanser is a little thicker then most cleansers I have tried but for me, it makes it easier to work with. I simply wash my fash in the sink with warm water then apply this generously on my face gently in a circular motion, then wash off with warm water. It's best to dry the skin with a soft towel.  I love this cleanser so far as my skin feels rather refreshed after using this. I do think the price of £25 is very fair considering you get a decent amount of product, it works and it smells gorgeous!

.Next up we have the Age Protect Skin Vitality Moisturiser RRP £35 (50ml) When I first got this I had no idea on how to actually use it but then I worked out opening the lid that it was a pump-action product and you get the right amount of product each time, clever! Not only does it give the right amount of product each time but it also acts like a vacuum so no product is waster.  The vitality moisturiser offers the perfect level of hydration for younger skin. It is rich in anti-oxidants and contains an anti-pollution system which provides daily protection from the urban environments, which is good for me because I live in the busy but fabulous Glasgow.

Avocado and Peach Lipids are rich in vitamins A, C and E as well as Omega 9 fatty acids which help keep skin hydrated and soft. Olive Oil penetrates the skin deeply to effectively hydrate and regenerate skin cells. Panthenol is a form of vitamin B that soothes irritated skin and plumps fine lines.

This has a lovely refreshing natural smell and the moisturiser itself as you can see by the photo above is very thick, so you can see that a little will go along way. It melts and blends into the skin effortlessly leaving skin feeling hydrated and soft. It costs £35 which is a good value for the amount you get and a little goes a long way. I would get this again for sure.

Finally, they sent me a  Pre Cleanse & Make-up Remover which was a sample size bottle to give a whirl. This is a wonderful product as it is a pre cleanser and also a makeup remover. I haven't tried it yet but it smells nice, I am looking forward to trying it out.
Pin me for later?
I have to say I am very impressed with the products I have tried from the brand! They stand for great things such as having the right products as we age and also being cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. I am looking forward to trying more from the brand.
