This perfume has been haunting my dreams for nearly 20 years now. Guerlain Insolence is a perfume I have wanted since it was released in 2006. I first saw it in Frasers after going for coffee with my friends after school. The smell just made me gasp in awe, it was something I remembered for all these years until I finally purchased it a few months ago.
I didn't really care for people's opinions about this online because it's a perfume that is so close to my heart—but saying that what I have seen is mostly positive.
Read on to see my thoughts on the perfume my heart has craved for almost 20 years! ( Spoiler Alert - I LOVE IT!)
Pros
- It's intense.. no need to reapply! This perfume lasts!
- Gorgeous violet floral scent
- Stunning bottle ( brought back a design from 1912!!)
- Elegance and seduction in a bottle!
Cons
- The price! Wow the price made my eyes water
- Maybe too intense for some

Guerlain Insolence is a masterpiece in my opinion it's seductive and very feminine. You intastantly get the violet notesfollowed by the fruit and flowers. Guerlain is a brand founded in Paris, France back in 1828 and since then they have made a whopping 1,100 perfumes! Impressive right?
Performance
Ahhh the happy memories, the scent is entirely the same as I remember from when I was back when I was 15, knowing me it's because it's been 20 years! I still love this perfume.
As soon as I sprayed this on my pulse points I was captivated by how stunning the Violet, strawberries, Iris and orange blossom went on my skin chemistry. No need to let this perfume sit, it's ready to go!
From morning to night, this perfume performs as it should, especially for the price!
My daughter is 13 and she loves it just as much as I do. I may need to hide it soon haha!
When to Wear Guerlain Insolence
Since it's a floral and fruity perfume I would say it's perfect for the spring and summer months but if you love those notes all year round go for it!
You could wear this day or night, I know I sure do!
How much is Guerlain Insolence?
My jaw dropped at the price... it's £130 without any discounts but if you like to say your pennies wait for sales.

Layering Options
If you have read previous posts you will understand that I enjoy layering perfumes. With this one being so intense it doesn't need any extra but if you're like me and like to have fun with fragrances. Here are some below I have enjoyed. Since its floral and fruity anything with those notes will work well with this.

Final Thoughts
I know 15-year-old Melissa would be proud of me now so that makes my heart happy! I will treasure this perfume and use it on special occasions because I want to make the most of it because of the price. This is going to be more of a warmer month or holiday perfume for me.
Even though the price made my eyes water a little, I am happy I have this floral and fruity masterpiece! It sure has made me want to try more perfumes in the Guerlain line.
