Lush Love Token Reusable Bubble Bar | Review

Lush Love Token Reusable Bubble Bar | Review

Is it me or is it so futuristic saying 2019? Lol! I honestly don't know how the time flies like that but here we are. Anyways Lush have been absolutely amazing this year with their fabulous Valentine's Day Collection! Now the designs may be on point but what about the products... hmm we will see how they fair. So far I have tried Aubergine and Six and they have been spot on. So now its the turn of the Love Token Reusable Bubble Bar.

Anyways onto the post shall we?
Design
I cannot fault the design at all, in fact, it is just perfection! They remind me of Gringott's Bank Coins from the Harry Potter movies. It is the size of the palm of my hand and has the words love token wrote on the front of the bubble bar, it is also very sparkly... it will go on your hands for sure.

Scent
Now the scent of this is something I am not so sure of... I can't say I am a huge fan of it, to be honest. Its key ingredients are 'Ginger Oil', 'Pine Needle Absolute', 'Clove Bud Oil' and 'Guaiacwood Oil'. It really wasn't as spicy as I was hoping and for me, the pine needle absolute was quite overpowering compared to the other ingredients.

In the Bath
Since its a reusable bubble bar you can break it into bits by either snapping it in half or quarters. I was a little lazy this time and just snapped it in half for each bath I used it in.

It is quite hard for a bubble bar ( well compared to other bubble bars I have tried in the past and my goodness I have tried many!) The first time I used it in the bath it was a blooming nightmare, to be honest, it barely melted underwater and the bits that did were all chunky in the water so I had to pick them up to crush them more under the water. The second time I crushed it completely and it worked so much better that time.

Once I used it the second time it gave a decent amount of bubbles as you can see below in the photo. The smell wasn't something I was wowed by. I was expecting more spice but the overpowering smell of pine needles took over. The amount of glitter was nice and not OTT which was good.

It was a relaxing bath as the water was soft and felt nice on the skin too. I wouldn't say it was the best but it was OK.

I love the design of this bubble bar but for me, I wouldn't repurchase it again because for me personally Im not a big fan of the scent of it. It is a decent size and can be used up to 4 times and for £4.95 it is not the most expensive thing in Lush ( blooming heck its getting expensive in lush isn't it omg)

I am sorry to say I won't be repurchasing this but I did love the design and the sparkles were lovely too!
Pin me for later?

  1. It looks so cute, but with all that sparkle I'd need another bath to clean it off haha.
At least it gave a decent amount of bubbles the second time around :)
