Makeup Revolution Creative Vol 1 Palette | Review

Makeup Revolution Creative Vol 1 Palette | Review
Hi everyone!
If you have read my blog before you will know I am a huge fan of bold and bright lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes. I knew I had to have this palette when I spotted it in Superdrug when I was looking for a palette I wanted but was sold out, this one stood out. One thing that made me want to buy it was the outer packaging, it stood out as usually makeup revolution palettes are simply designed but this, on the other hand, has a lovely peacock design on it.

Makeup Revolution is an amazing cruelty-free and super budget-friendly brand. They have so much makeup and skincare products it's actually mind-blowing.  I have lost track of how many eyeshadow palettes they actually have now. The creative Vol 1 palette has 24 colours in the palette and it cost me a cool £10 Superdrug.

The outer packaging is lovely with the vibrant peacock design on it... but it doesn't stop there, oh no! The actual palette itself has the beautiful peacock design on it too, which I just love! Its made of plastic and the inside of the palette it has a very considerate sized mirror in it, so its the perfect go-to palette if you are travelling and want a vibrant palette to take with you.

For £10 for 24 eyeshadows I can't complain about the palette because it's nicely-designed even though the eyeshadows themselves are smaller than expected but still a generous size considering you do get 24 in the palette.

The shades are a mix of shimmer and mattes and the colours are from warm bronzes to canary yellow to a gorgeous fuschia pink. I think the look they are going for shades that are peacock inspired. I honestly don't see so many peacock vibes in the palette as I thought they would have been some greens in the palette but unfortunately, they isn't any but saying that I do like the shade range inside creative vol 1. I just would have been ecstatic if they were some variety of greens too like a peacock you know?

You can create a variety of different looks with this palette from everyday makeup to super glam. I created a look above with a few of the shades in the palette and they are as follows; Prize, Inspired, Quirky, Colour and Trendsetter.

I do think the eyeshadows work much better with a concealer/primer because for me I do think they require a lot of building them up ( well apart from the shimmers, they were fine without as you can see from the swatch above) I thought it was also worth mentioning that the eyeshadows when you use an eyeshadow brush on the palette, the pan actually have a bit of fallout, nothing major but a little more than usual that's for sure.

My thoughts
I wouldn't say it my all-time favourite palette but I do think it's well worth the £10. The mattes can take a lot of work to build up but the shimmers are pretty effortless. I do like the fact that the shades are very easy to blend together so that's big plus right?

The design of the palette is just flawless and it has to be my favourite designed palette by makeup revolution yet! Now even though the eyeshadows were a bit fallout It hasn't put me off at all purchasing another makeup revolution palette in the future.
