An Introduction to Laves - a Modern Skincare Brand, Backed by Science

An Introduction to Laves a Modern Skincare Brand, Backed by Science
This post contains PR/gifted items, no paid content. All opinions are my own

Hello everyone!

Since I got nearer to the age of 30 I tended to pay a little more attention to my skincare regime more and learn what is best for my skin, now I know much more at 30 and usually know what's best for my skin. Rollback the clock to 10 years ago I wasn't very skincare savvy because I didn't do any skincare apart the occasional Nivea moisturiser, so you can see i wasn't in the know, looking back I wish I used SPF and did my homework and learn more then!

L'aves know that our skin changes daily and can be affected by things such as hormones, environmental conditions and even stress, so their products have the necessary ingredients our skin needs. All of their products are made in small batches so they are guaranteed to be fresh every time. They have skincare for all ages because we know our skin needs different things at different stages of our lives.

Their products are palm oil-free, preservative-free and free from such as harmful fragrance, no additive colour, no parabens, no phthalates or gluten. They are also eco friendly, vegan and cruelty-free.

I kindly got sent these products to give a try. Their Botanical Rain Mist + B3 and their Bright & Lift Facial Elixir. The first thing I noticed is that the packaging is made glass and it feels well made and they look nice too.

Botanical Rain Mist + B3
Extreme Performance Toner
(RRP £40)
First things first, I just love the name of this product; matches it perfectly in my opinion. A toner for all skin types and works well at a few things including setting your makeup after application.

It has a delicate mist spray which is quite relaxing and cooling while applying.  Ingredients include rose, rosemary, lavender, neroli and chamomile which help skin balance and hydration. It also has added benefits of vitamin B3 which is a star as it evens out skin tone,  promotes collagen and ensuring skin softness.

I use this at random times of the day sometimes as its a relaxing scent and feels soothing on my skin.

Bright & Lift Facial Elixir - A Best Seller
Extreme Performance Facial Elixir
(RRP £65)
This is suitable for use in the morning and/or evening but for me personally, I prefer using any kind of serum in the evening as it has time to sink in. The serum intensely nourishes, soothes, calms restores elasticity and bring luminosity. Its ingredients are a rather unique blend of a combination of Omega 3, 5, 6, 7 9 and vitamins A, D, B1, B2, B6, E and K (sourced from cucumber, tomatoes, rosehip, broccoli and camelia.

It can be used by all skin types. As I said I like using it at night time just after I have a cleanser, toned and used an eye cream. After serum, I will use a night time cream.

I really love this serum so far. It has a very delicate scent in it which isn't added fragrance but more of the natural ingredients inside. It smells like soothing cucumbers and rose. I love the applicator with this as it doesn't give your too much product, just enough for what you need. I find it soaks into the skin after about 5 mins.

  1. The toner spray sounds great, although I think unless I knew it was going to have incredible results the price might put me off a bit! The brand sounds incredible though x
