Secret Scent Box Review - January: Which Scents are Inside?

First, I am Melissa, a certified perfume addict, you will often find me in Boots and perfume shops sampling new perfumes. I am always on the lookout for new perfumes to try, so that's why I am trying Secret Scent Box. 

Secret Scent Box is a monthly perfume subscription box that helps you discover designer perfumes or aftershave. The supply lasts 30 days, so you can try new fragrances to see if you like them.

My morning routine is usually waking up, showering, putting my perfume on and doing my prayers, putting perfume on is part of my routine and something small that makes me so happy. 

What's inside the Secret Scent January Box?

Jimmy Choo - Rose Passion 

A new fragrance to the Jimmy Choo fragrance line, this is a floral ambery scent. 

Top note: Coconut Water, Frangipani Flower

Middle notes: Orchid, Jasmine

Base notes: Vanilla, Sandalwood

First impressions

I have never tried any perfumes from Jimmy Choo before, but I have heard of the brand before because of their popular shoes. I love this perfume so far. It has a fresh floral scent with a hint of vanilla which is stunning! 

I am a big fan of floral perfume fan so this hit all the right notes for me, especially with the blend of vanilla, just delicious.

Would I purchase it?

YES! I need to add this to my collection in the future. 

Burberry - Brit Sheer

This is an eau de toilette and is a lively romantic fragrance. It's described as perfect for wearing during the day.

Top notes: Sweet Lycee, Yuzu, Pineapple, Mandarin

Middle notes: Peony, Pear, Peach Blossom

Base notes: White Musk, White Woods

First Impressions

As with the Jimmy Choo perfume, I have never sampled a Burberry perfume before. I really like this so far, it's a beautiful burst of fresh fruit and subtle flowers. I think it's perfect for everyday wear like at work or at college. I would 100% wear this at college as a training makeup artist. 

Would I purchase it?

Maybe? I prefer more of an eccentric perfume but this is beautiful so maybe this will grow on me, who knows?

Banana Republic - Wildbloom Vert

This perfume is designed for a relaxed and spontaneous woman who enjoys nature and the outdoors.

Top notes: Pear, Red Apple, Violet Leaf

Middle notes: Gardenia, Magnolia, Peach Blossom

Base notes: Coconut, Musk, Sandalwood, Teak Wood

First impressions

Well, it's 3 out of 3, brands I have never tried before; I've hit the jackpot! I have tried this a couple of times and WOW! It's like fresh apples with a hint of violet, peach and coconut, so delicious. It's a gorgeous blend of flowers and fruit. It definitely gives outdoor vibes.

Would I purchase it?

I might in the summer when I go on longer walks, it's so delicious! So glad I got the chance to sample it.

Final Thoughts

For the price, I think it's a fabulous way of trying new perfumes without breaking the bank! Every month there is something new which I think is a fun way of trying perfumes, you never know you might find some new favourites. 

Look out in future, I might have added some of these to my collection for a more in-depth review.

I love the packaging, the box is handy for jewellery or keeping little trinkets inside. The little sample bottles can be refilled, so perfect for travel.
