5 Things On My To-Do List After Lockdown

Hello everyone!

I know the lockdown sounds like its lasted forever and we don't know truly how long it's going to last after either. We know how important the lockdown is because of effects of COVID 19. I am not in a rush to do these things but I know they will come at the right time and I can tell you something.. I am excited about some more normality as lockdown can be hard for sure.

They are so many things I miss that sometimes it can be upsetting thinking about them so I have decided to make a positive out of negative and write a post on what things I am looking forward to when the lockdown is finally over and they are no more coronavirus.

Love Locks by Lydia - Hair Growth Liquid: Does It actually Work? | Review

Hello Everyone!

When it comes to hair vitamins I am always a bit dubious on their claims in which they will help grow your hair faster and overall improve your hair health. Not only that but quite a lot of the times they can be expensive and most of them are pills or gummies which arent my cup of tea.

I have tried a few different products to try help my hair quality over the years but I can't rate any of them. I was kindly sent a bottle of 'Love Locks Lydia's Liquid Hair Vitamins' to try! At first, I wasn't entirely consistent as I have a memory of a goldfish sometimes. But I got the gist and had it with breakfast.

Lockdown Dairy: I shaved off my hair...

Hello everyone!

Now you may be all wondering why on earth I have decided to go for a buzzcut! A few things came into a play to why I decided to do this, now more than ever.  My hair has been pretty darn damaged from the number of times I have dyed my hair and also bleaching it. I have lost count the number of times I have done the process throughout the years.

Now I can't complain I have enjoyed having so many different hairstyles and looks but my hair had enough recently as I overdid it with the hair bleach. I bleached my hair twice over the span of 2 days and my goodness it was so damaged and brittle that lots of it broke even by the slightest touch. I thought putting a dye over it would help with the damage but nope it didn't. It just looked patchy and super dry. They were only one thing for me to do...

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection

Hello everyone!

Just over a month ago, I was at home after dropping my kids to school when I got a knock on the door and it was the fabulous 'Milky Hydrating Collection from Pixi'! It was totally random and a lovely surprise. Skincare is defiantly important to me as I am knocking on 30s door and also have combination skin makes me want to get skincare right for me. Getting this collection was a much-needed boost for me as I love trying new skincare products.

My skincare routine has improved over the years and I would like to think I have a decent amount of knowledge on what works well for me so far. Finding products that work for me is a task and a half but most of the time Pixi sure delivers.

This collection is cruelty-free and also vegan friendly too!

This post contains PR/gifted items, no paid content. All opinions are my own

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection
So what's in the collection?
They are 6 products in the collection which represent the steps to achieve softer and hydrated skin.

Step 1 - Remove
This does exactly what it says on the bottle! It removes makeup easily! It has a pump action top which you apply to a face towel or face pads. You simply use circular motions to remove makeup including the most stubborn makeup such as waterproof mascara. It also makes skin feel more hydrated after use.

Step 2 - Cleanse
Next up you use a coin size amount of this daily use cleanser applying with circular motions and remove with warm water. This cleanser is enriched with moisturizing coconut extract, willow bark extract and skin-perfecting probiotics.

Step 3 - Peel
This peel exfoliates the skin with natural ingredients which help minimize pores and condition the skin. The ingredients include coconut which nourishes, willow bark to refine pores and cellulose to exfoliate. Simply use this daily by applying to the skin, leaving it on for 2-3 minutes then washing off with warm water.
I love the feel of this on my skin and washing it off my face feels smoother. I love this step so much!

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection
Step 4 - Tone
I am a huge fan of PIXI tonics and its a flip between the vitamin c and glow tonics which are so far my favourites. This milky tonic is soothing and balances the skin. Simply soak into a cotton pad or reusable towel and gently wipe over your face and down the neck. I like to use it in the mornings and also just before I go to bed at night.

Step 5 - Treat
Not only does this soothe the skin but it also deeply hydrates and brightens the skin. The ingredients include rose flower extract, jojoba oil and aloe vera. I love the smell of this! You only need 2-3 drops cover your face and neck. It has a drop applicator included so its easy to get the right amount needed.

Step 6 - Moisturise
The final step is using this lotion! You can use this on your face and also on your body too. This adds instant hydration as well as long-term skin moisture. Ingredients inside include shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa seed extract for hydration and others including sweet almond extract and black oat extract. As with everything else in the collection, this smells gorgeous while at the same time softens my skin.

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection
I am super happy with this collection and I have definitely found some new favourites! I think they came at the perfect time for me as I needed something to add to my self-care routine especially with what's going on in the world right now.  I love how refreshing the whole collection feels on my skin and I love using them in my skincare routine.

What do you think of the Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection? Which would you like to try

Tutti Rouge Review, Part one: Eva Body Garnet

Hello everyone!

When it comes to lingerie I do like lacey vibrant things, which is brilliant because I was kindly some things from Tutti Rouge including this Eva Body in Garnet. I have seen so many positives about the brand on social media. The brand was founded in 2012 and they make lingerie for people with bigger boobs as they knew people struggled to find a supportive and comfortable bras/lingerie in their sizes.

Their website has so many choices that it took me a while to choose which I wanted because all of their pieces are just gorgeous!
How does it look & feel? ( is it comfortable?)
It surpassed my expectations in so many ways! It has so many details on it and the quality is outstanding. When I got it out the package I noticed all the lovely details such as on the back it has little love heart clasps where you adjust how tight you want the bra panels to be.

One thing I love about the Eva body is that it has tragically placed panels in which some parts rougette signature lace and others which a sheer spot net. The elastic under the bust gives support and uplift with no visible VPL.

I was a bit worried because the size looks a little on the small size for me but I was totally wrong as it fits like the glove.  Usually, with bodies, they fit nicely in one place and awfully in other but this was perfect and hugs my curves.

I love the support it gives to my boobs and belly and I can honestly say I feel super confident wearing this which is a big win for me as I am trying so hard to be more body confident.

I feel so comfy and sexy wearing this that I would even wear as it as outwear with a vest underneath of course.  One thing I love about this is that its so comfy and doesn't cut into my skin after long wear, it basically feels like a second skin.

Sizing?
They have a size range of XS to XXXL (size 6-20) on their website but for this particular body it went up to my size which is the top end of a size 16. For me, the fit is comfy and fit my bra size which is a size 34DD/E depending on the bra.

Tutti Rouge Review, Part one: Eva Body Garnet
Tutti Rouge Review, Eva Body Garnet
My thoughts
I really love this body! It fits me well and I feel really confident wearing it because of a few factors. One being is that it fits my curves nicely, the lace has gorgeous detail and also it fits my chest perfectly which is good because I have a quite a gap.

The back looks just as nice as the front which is a nice extra. I am a 36DD and the size XL fit my shape nicely. I love the garnet colour; they are also another version of this in black, which I am tempted to get as well.

I would say it gives a good amount of support too which is always a good thing with larger breasts in a body. Since it gives a nice amount stretch it fits my belly well too.

How much is the Eva Body from Tutti Rouge?
It costs £24 and comes in two different colours. This one and also black.

Where can I find out more?

What do you you think of the Tutti Rouge Eva body in garnet?

Balibody Highlighter Sticks Review

Hello Everyone
Who else loves using highlighter? I know I sure do! I love the glow it gives my skin, it's the icing on the cake to my makeup routine. So when it comes to anything on my blog I like to be 100% honest about products I have tried regardless if I have bought them myself or been gifted them. These highlighter sticks from Bali Body were kindly sent for me to review.

Bali Body is a new brand to me but they sell a variety of products including suncare, self-tan and skincare. These highlighter sticks are the first cosmetics products they have launched and they come in 3 different shades.
balibody highlighter sticks review
The highlighter sticks come in 3 beautiful universal shades
  • Moonlit - Soft shades of champagne & moonbeams for an ethereal glow.
  • Rose Gold - Warm rose tones add depth & radiance to all complexions.
  • Sunkissed -  Deeper shades of bronze mimic rays of sunshine for a goddess-like glow
They have a light-reflecting finish and a wand applicator since its soft liquid product. It's a product so you can use it on your cheekbones, nose or cupids bow. You can layer it for a more intense glow.

All orders are dispatched from the UK. Each highlighter stick costs £25 each. They are paraben-free and also vegan friendly

The highlighters are multitasking so you can use them as a bronzer, blusher or a highlighter.
Balibody Highlighter Sticks Review
Balibody Highlighter Sticks Review
Below I have taken swatches of each of the highlighters, as you can see with just one swipe of the wand how glowy they are! I can see that they can be very versatile.

I really like the formula of the highlighter which is a nice surprise for me as I usually don't get along with liquid highlighters but these are just easy to use and blend. They also are fast drying which is a plus as waiting for liquid highlighters to dry can be annoying.

I use this by putting a small amount on the areas I need it such as small dots and blend them out with a concealer brush. If I want a more intense glow I would repeat the process for a more blinding glow. I myself prefer a blinding highlight in which you can notice so I like to repeat the process.

My favourite out of the bunch in 'Moonlit' as I like champagne/moon inspired highlighters as they usually go so well with the makeup looks I create. The others I like to use as a bronzer and a blusher.
Balibody Highlighter Sticks Review
Pros
  • Comes in 3 different universal shades.
  • Handy wand for easy application
  • Fast-drying and long-lasting
  • Cruelty-free, vegan and paraben-free
  • Versatile; can be used as highlighter, blush or bronzer.

Cons

  • Can't think of any

Balibody Highlighter Sticks Review
I really like these highlighter sticks! They impressed me so much as I don't usually get on with liquid highlighters. I like how fast they dry and how vibrant they look without any fuss or mess. I love them and I will definitely be looking forward to Bali Body adding more cosmetics to their collection.

Check out these highlighters and more on the BaliBody website below

Urban Decay Wired Pressed Pigment Palette | Review

Hello everyone!

This month started off quite nicely with the spring weather and has ended on a different note with whats going on in the world with COVID 19. It's not easy times at the moment but I am going to keep posting on my blog as it makes me happy and more content. Stay safe everyone.

Urban Decay has been one of my favourite brands for many years! The main reason I started to buy the brand was their products were so different from what was on the market at that time. Fast forward to now I still love the brand and their products are always on my wishlist when they come out. When 'Wired' came out I just had to have it as I love bright colours.
urban decay pressed pigment palette
I have a fair few eyeshadow palettes in my collection but quite a fair few of them are more neutral and I thought 'Wired' would fit nicely in my collection as it's bright and vibrant. Another thing that brought my attention to this palette was the design and how the word wired sticks out in 3D.

When it comes to the brand Urban Decay I have tried a good selection of products over the years. I have tried many of their eyeshadow palettes, foundation and occasionally their eyeliners too. Overt the years the brand has changed a fair bit as when I remember it when I was a teen its was more vibrant and stood out from other products in-store but over the past 5-10 years, they have had more neutral products. Now they have a good selection of brights and neutrals which I am very happy about.
Urban Decay Wired Pressed Pigment Palette | Review
Urban Decay Wired Pressed Pigment Palette is a stunning palette in which you can create so electric looking makeup looks. It has 10 rich velvety smooth pigments which have a striking colour payoff. It has a selection of both silky mattes and sparkly shimmers.

Inside the 'Wired' Palette

ROW 1
Glitch (Matte pure white)
Chaos (Matte cobalt blue)
Shock (Matte violet)
Gravity (Metallic deep purple)
Savage (Matte fuchsia)

ROW 2
Fluorescent (Matte aqua)
Current (Metallic emerald)
Jolt (Matte chartreuse)
Switch (Matte orange)
Slowburn (Matte red-orange)

6 of the shades are for the face, body and eye are but 4 of the shades are only suitable for face and body. Kinda sad they aren't all suitable for all the eye area.
Urban Decay Wired Pressed Pigment Palette swatches
They swatched rather nicely and I didn't use any primer or setting spray or anything like that; just straight out the palette. For a more intense look spray your eyeshadow brush with setting spray.

The palette has a retail price of £39. At first glance it sounds like a fair price but since 4 of the shades aren't suitable for the eye area its made me rethink a little bit. Since the shades are all bright it's hard to think of a use for bright shades that aren't the eye area.

The application was pretty impressive and you don't need to keep putting your eyeshadow brush in the pan for more product, a little bit goes a long way. Another thing I love about them is that the pigments blend so effortlessly together, even the shimmers and the mattes.

Taking the pigments off is simple enough too! Which I was super surprised at as usually most bright eyeshadows can stain for a while but these don't which is a plus for me. I used micellar water or Pixi beauty hydrating milky makeup remover to take off my makeup

Pros
  • 10 bright shades to choose from including shimmers and mattes.
  • Easy to blend together or with other eyeshadow palettes
  • Travel friendly as it has a handy mirror inside
  • Perfect for brighter makeup looks
  • The packaging is very durable and feels sturdy
  • Long-lasting, even more so with urban decay all nighter setting spray
  • Cruelty-free

Cons
  • Can't use all the shades on the eye area
  • A little on the expensive side at £39 for 10 eyeshadows
Urban Decay Wired Pressed Pigment Palette | Review
I really like this eyeshadow even though I won't be using the face and body pigments much (I would probably use them for more themed looks). I do think the price is a bit on the expensive side but it's well made and sturdy.

I have created a few looks already on my Instagram already and I am impressed with how well the pigments blend with each other. My favourite pigments in the palette are 'Chaos' and ' ' they work so well together.

30+ things to do while staying at home

I know its super dupe hard being in lockdown because of coronavirus ( COVID-19) but its best for everyone and the NHS if we follow the government's guidelines. We are doing our bit by social distancing, staying at home and just one of us going out shopping whenever we need the supplies. We are also homeschooling the kids which are defiantly something new but we are doing our best.

30+ Things to do while staying at home
1. Look after each other - Remember we are all in this together so it's great to look after each other.
2. Catch up on some sleep -  I know this may be out of the norm but sometimes a bit extra sleep can be a huge help, I know it has been for me in during this stressful time.
3. Contact friends/family that you usually visit or meet - It can be hard not seeing people we usually see but its best to contact our friends and loved ones to keep hold of normality.
4. Make plans for the future - Just remember this won't be lasting forever so it's nice to plan for the future.
5. Read a book  - If you didn't have time before to catch up on your reading list then this is a perfect time to sink into your to-read list.
6. Learn a new recipe - I am learning more recipes and making new meals. Some haven't worked but some have become new favourites.
7. Catch up with blog posts or youtube - Sometimes finding time to do these can be hard so nows a good time to plan ahead with writing and taking photos.
8. Try that new hobby you have been meaning to do for a while now - For me I am learning to knit again and also learning a new language via an app on my phone.
9. Clean - One thing I love doing at the moment is cleaning. I have more time for a more in-depth clean which is good.
10. Look back at memories - Look at photo albums or reminisce with memories with family and friends over the phone. I have been looking through photo albums and old cards.
11. Have a Pyjama day- now we all know how comfy pyjamas are, so this one speaks for itself.
12. DIY - Have a shelf that needs putting up but its been sitting In the cupboard 6 months? now is the time to it up.
13. Play board games - These can take up so much time but they can be so much fun too!
14. Have time to yourself - Even if you're all at home sometimes my time is important. Have time alone in your room for a breather.
15. Selfcare - It can be hectic and worrying right now so it's important to remember self-care.
16. Consider getting the kinder App - Since we can't just pop out to get a kindle or the book shop, the app is a great way to read new books.
17. Do something out your comfort zone - For me, one thing was making a youtube channel and starting a fitness routine!
18. Make a music playlist - Whether you have apple play, Spotify or lots of cd. Now is a good time to listen to all your favourite music.
19. Watch Netflix - I have lost track of all the series I have watched on here. I will make a separate post on what to watch on Netflix.
20. Change around some furniture - I know it sounds silly but changing around the furniture is a great way of having a quick home decor change.

Pin for later?

21. Join in doing PE with Joe if you have kids or even join in regardless (the body coach) - We have been doing this every morning for 30 minutes! Even I join in.
22. Homeschool kids if you have them if they are nursery/school age - I know it's different but they are so many helpful websites out there to make sure they learn while the schools are off.
23. Create something - You can paint, draw or even make something with any cardboard such as empty cereal packets.
24. Watch some movies together- We are pretty lucky the Disney + has come out! They are many a movie on there for the whole family to watch. I can't wait to watch Tarzan. Netflix and Amazon prime have a good selection too.
25. Learn a new subject - My kids love learning new things and I have been teaching things such as history and things they haven't yet learnt in school.
26. Phone/Facetime/Sykpe Family/ Friends - We can't see their grandparents and great-grandma for a while so we like to keep in contact via phone.
27. Read books - My kids have a good selection of books to choose from and so do I. I like reading for at least 30 minutes a day.
28. Exercise - We all know exercise is important but even more so now that we need to be home. We like to do PE with Joe wicks in the mornings.
29. Make a duvet fort - This can be so much fun for all the family.
30. Watch Disney + -  I am so glad I downloaded this! It has some of my old favourites on it and lots of programmes my kids like too.
31. Make a list of thing you want to do after lockdown - Every day we write something new in my diary of things we are looking forward to most.
32. Plan ahead the week's shopping - We should be reducing the amount we go shopping so try making a list of what you need to avoid forgetting and making more trips.
33. Watch Prime Tv  - I didn't think I needed this but it is plenty of things to watch on here from movies to series, Im hooked.
34. Learn something new- With so many courses to choose from, now is a brilliant time for looking into it.

Crown Brush UK | Review

Crown Brush UK | Review
You may have noticed my recent youtube video on me trying out some makeup brushes from the fabulous brand Crown Brush UK! I have also mentioned them a couple of times on my Instagram because I love using some of them in my makeup routine! I will like to thank Crown Brush for gifting me some brushes to try out!

When I first got these brushes I was super excited because I love trying out different sort of makeup looks when I get new brushes to see what I can create. One of the first things I do is take swatches so I can get a feel of my new brushes before I create a look.

Crown Brush UK | Review
I was asked which brushes I would like to try so I chose brushes I needed and brushes I have never tried before also. They are so many choices on the website that you are spoiled for choice, it took me a while to choose!

Brushes I chose
This brush costs £2.99 and its a stiff brow brush, perfect for application and shaping of the brows. It feels very good quality and damns its easy as pie to apply brow pomades and powder.

This costs £8.49 and can be used to apply. cream, liquid foundation as well as an applying a primer. It's super soft and I find it best for applying primer more than anything else as its touch to soft to apply my medium-full foundation evenly!

Made from natural hair this has tapered pointed bristles. The shape of the brush helps get the perfect application for the apples of the cheeks. I love this brush as it applies blush perfectly. This costs £10.49.

This is also made from natural hair and has a medium dense finish. This is so perfect for depositing eyeshadow onto the lids with little waste and maximum effect.

This has a bullet shape tip and its perfect for use on the corners of the eyes for highlighting and also below the lash line! Also made of natural bristles and costs £5.99.

Check out my youtube video on my channel. I created a makeup look I did with all the makeup brushes I mentioned above!

I loved all of the brushes! They are very well made and you can feel the quality in them just by holding them. The bristles don't feel cheap and you can tell just by the touch of them that they are high quality. I have to say out of all of them I have tried

Have you tried any brushes from Crown Brush before?

Subjects are very varied on my blog but one of my favourite posts to do over the years has to be my monthly beauty favourites posts! Its pretty fun to look back and see what you liked at certain periods and to see how much it changed if any! Anyways last month was a mix of new products that I found and loved. Check out my last monthly favourites post here! I think I am still in shock that it's 2020! Since I have started blogging I must have written just around 500 blog posts but never found my place in blogging or the community but you know something not only have I found out more about me since 2019 I have also found a more steady foot in blogging and the community too which I am very happy about!

My February 2020 Beauty Favourites

I only started using Pixi Liquid lipsticks since last year and my goodness I just love them! I love the applicator as its a smooth journey to apply the lipstick smoothly. I also like the scent of the product too which is subtle but noticeable when you open the lipstick. This nude shade has been used a heck of a lot by me last month as I usually just wore more natural makeup during that month.

I found this in-home bargains a few months ago and I just can't get enough of them! It helps keep foundation on longer and also gives my foundation a lovely dewy glow, LOVELY!

I can't help but get some lashes at least once a week! I love how they change a look effortlessly. Eyelure is so affordable and they are so many different types to choose from. I found these ones for under £5 in home bargains.

Milani Conceal and Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and concealer
I bought this last summer and it was the wrong shade for me as I had a little bit of tan, roll on to winter its perfect for me. It is quite a full coverage foundation so a little bit goes a long way with this. Another thing I love about this is that since its so full coverage, they are no need for concealer, brilliant!

Some days I cannot be bothered with styling my brows so that's when I like to use a brow gel to keep my brows looking on fleek without the work.
