Day 2 Spray | Review

Hello Everyone!

Is it me or does the washing basket never seem to empty? As soon as you do one load of washing they end up being twice as much washing in the washing in the basket 😮. Sometimes we have a decision of making such as hmmm does this dress have one more wear before I wash it or maybe these jeans could do with another wear before I sling them in the wash... if only they were a dry shampoo for clothes like the is for hair.... wait a minute they happens to be one? WOW.

Let's get one more days worth of wear with Day 2 Spray the worlds first dry wash spray for clothes!
Day 2 Spray Review
Day 2 is the first company in the world to do what dry shampoo does for hair and that is to dry wash clothes, how amazing is that? They have 3 different varieties to choose from

Day2 Dry Wash Spray Original

Day2 Dry Wash Spray Delicates

Day2 Dry Wash Spray  Denim

How to Use
It is very simple to use thankfully! It comes in a spray can making it as simple as a hair spray to use.

1. Lay clothes flat on even surfaces such as the bed or the floor
2. Use the spray that is right for the clothes you want to be freshened up
3. Even out the product with your hands to make sure the clothes are covered evenly
4. Hang up to dry for about 10-15 minutes
5. It's ready to wear again for another day

Did you know that one spray of Day2 dry wash spray only uses 0.02% of water compared to a normal wash load, how fabulous is that everyone!?

What does Day 2 Wash Spray do?
Thankfully its science, not magic that makes this product work.
Anti-odour technology - The sprays have a gender-neutral fragrance that starts off strong then gradually gets less throughout the day.
Stiffening Molecules - Now this must be the miracle in the bottle as this helps stiffen up the clothes enough to make them look like they have been freshly ironed, how amazing is that.
Fibre Softners - This delicately massages tense yarns and fibres by relaxing them making them softer like making them back into a freshly washed state.
Day 2 Spray Review
My Thoughts
Honestly, I think these are just fabulous, I have used these for a few weeks now and my goodness they work just a treat. They make many clothes like jeans, coats or even a nice dress last that extra day without the need of throwing it in the wash. I love the fresh fragrance they have and I am pleasantly surprised they last all day.

By some sort of scientific miracle, they also take wrinkles out of clothes which is great because I bloody hate ironing. The clothes look freshly washed which is amazing. I love the fact they use less water than the normal washing machine load and not only that the washer will be needed less so saves me money on water and electricity.

Kat Von D Lock-It Liquid Foundation | Review

Kat Von D Lock-It Liquid Foundation | Review
I have been meaning to write this post for a couple of months now but since its one of my everyday foundations, I thought it was ok to delay it since its something that's is used so often. The Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation has been a firm favourite of mine for over 2 years now and I have been through a few bottles of it now. It has served me well as an everyday foundation and also at big events such as weddings and parties, it sure has never let me down, even if I am on the dancefloor for hours on end in the summer LOL.

My skin type is a combination so finding a foundation that isn't drying or shiny can sure be a task. I also have large pore on my cheeks so I also want to avoid making them look larger. For me using a primer is one of the most important parts of applying a foundation, not only does it help foundation last longer but it also minimises pores too, especially ones especially for covering pore ( don't worry skin doesn't need to breathe so no worries)
Kat Von D Lock-It Liquid Foundation | Review
Lock-It Liquid Foundation Range
The lock-it foundation is a full coverage that has a matte finish. The range is pretty impressive as they have 44 shades to choose from for a range of skin tones and undertones. It is also transfer proof, waterproof and buildable depending on the finish you want.

The packaging is just gorgeous! The box looks very gothic/chic as does the foundation bottle. The foundation pump is covered with a cap that looks like a letters family wax seal which I just love. It is made out of plastic but you can tell its nicely made and it feels strong and durable.

For me, 2 pumps on the back of my hand are enough foundation to cover my entire face. I am not going to lie, this foundation is pretty thick so getting the right foundation sponge/brush is crucial to applying this foundation as it should. I honestly think it's best using a thick big bristled foundation brush or using a beauty sponge such as a beauty blender, a lot of foundation brushes just move this foundation around, so that's why I thought it was important to mention this.

Lock-It Foundation Liquid Foundation in shade Light 45 Neutral
I got my foundation at my local Debenhams and I would suggest anyone wanting to get this foundation to try pop down their before purchasing so you get get the right one for you.

My skin tone is light and has a lot of red marks just below my eyes and also on my cheeks. I got this shade as it matched my skin tone and it also neutralised the reddish in my cheeks which I am happy about.
Kat Von D Lock-It Liquid Foundation | Review
It sure does as it says on the tin this foundation. It is a little bit on the expensive side at £28 but since it does what I want it too I am not going to complain too much about that. I love that the foundation is buildable; all you need to do is apply 1 drop for a medium finish and 2 drops for a more fuller finish, how easy is that?

As I said about my skin has red marks on it from rosacea and this foundation has no problems covering it and making it match the rest of my the foundation on my face. It does say its full coverage but it sure doesn't feel heavy or cakey, for me, it feels lightweight on my skin and very easy to wear without worrying about it transferring.

I have to say I am super impressed with how long lasting this foundation is too! It has no problems staying in place all day with a primer and makeup setting spray, the foundation looking fresh all day.

Taking care of blonde hair with Lee Stafford

Taking care of blonde hair with Lee Stafford

You may be like no way lass your hair isn't even blonde yet why you talking about these Lee Stafford Blonde shampoos and conditioners. Well, I am on the road to going back blonde- I am about 50% there as a lot of my hair is now highlighted, by my next hairdressing appointment my hair will be a strawberry blonde with a burst of light blonde highlights. But until then I will be using blonde haircare products on the journey from here and beyond.

Lee Stafford is a UK based haircare company and they sell a variety of products such as hair straighteners, shampoos and conditioners. They have different haircare ranges including this one which is for bleach blondes and others including coco loco and cactus.

Taking care of blonde hair with Lee Stafford
So both products come in nicely designed pink bottles and each contains 250ml of product which is generous for the price which is £6.99 each. With blonde bleached hair, it is important to use a silver shampoo to tone the hair and keep the colour and shine for longer and most of all keep brassy tones at bay.

These products are designed for toning, restoring, cleansing, moisturising, UV protection and also enhances shine. They both have a lovely refreshing floral scent which I love, not only is the scent lovely but it lasts on the hair for up to 2 days.

The shampoo is a little thicker than most purple shampoos I have tried before so its a lot easy to use without making a mess. I like to keep it on for a good 5 minutes so it can work its magic without making my hair violet.

As for the conditioner, it has a similar scent and as with the shampoo I like to keep that on for a good 5 minutes since my hair has been bleached a fair few times. They both work together in harmony and both works wonders on my hair keeping brassiness at bay and keeping my hair looking soft and healthy.

Lush Iris Flower Bath Bomb | Review

Lush Iris Flower Bath Bomb | Review
Another day and its another bath time for me. ( I have lost track of how many baths I have had this week because I have fancied them more lately as they are so damn relaxing, especially after I have done lots of walking and my legs are aching. The Iris Flower Bath Bomb is from the Lush Mother's Day Collection. The mothers day collection looks amazing and has to be my favourite so far of the year, it is very floral inspired which I love.

Anyways let us get on with the post, shall we?

Lush Iris Flower Bath Bomb | Review
Design
This bath bomb is entirely pink and has a pretty pink iris flower design on top of the bath bomb. As you can see on top of the bath bomb, they are a yellow piece of paper in which you can write a special message on it, which is fabulous if you want to give this as a gift or even write a self-care message to yourself.

Scent
The 4 key ingredients in this are as follows; 'Orris root powder', 'Bergamot Oil', 'Persian Lime Oil' and 'Neroli Oil' These all smell lovely for me personally and they compliment each other nicely as its a zesty fruity scent.

In the bath
As soon as this went into the bath it started oozing a lovely milkshake pink colour into the bath. As soon as I put this in the bath you could smell the lovely zesty fruity aromas of the bath bomb, which for me was just lovely. It took less than 5 minutes to completely melt and make my bath water look like a giant tub of strawberry milkshake.

The bath water felt amazing on my skin and felt very silky and soft. I am not joking when I say you couldn't see anything under 2cm of the water because the pink was so vibrant.

Since it was so delicate and moisturising on my skin I didn't even bother with a moisturiser. The bath bomb was lovely and I could smell it on myself well into the next day.

I am so happy I chose this bath bomb. It smells lovely, looks amazing and it sure made me feel amazing too. The price point of lush is getting a bit daft right now as this cost me £5.95 which I find a lil steep especially when this is only a one use product. If they were a little cheaper then I would 100% buy more of their products. That being said I do love lush and love what they do etc.

Anyways I would 100% repurchase this as it was one of the nicest bath bombs I have tried.

Lush Peachy Bath Bomb | Review

Lushs Peachy Bath Bomb | Review
Damn this girl has had one rough week recovering from being ill on the weekend, I still feel rubbish but hey ho I decided to cheer myself up and have a Lush bath to help me relax. I decided to go for Peachy ( from the Lush Valentines day collection) as it's been sitting my bath bomb basket for a while now ( Plus I want to make room for more lush easter products lol).

Anyways let us get on with the post, shall we?

Lushs Peachy Bath Bomb | Review
 Design
It looks cheeky don't you think? I just love the peach emoji design, its fab! It not only has a great peach design but its a good size too and has the design on both sides which is nice to see.
Scent
Now since its a peach, I am not surprised by the key ingredients in this at all. The key ingredients are as follows; 'Fresh Peach Juice' 'Grapefruit Oil' 'Davana Oil' and 'Elemi Oil'

In the Bath
Since this is a huge bath bomb I decided to lower it into the bath slowly to see the full effect of it and my goodness I am so glad I did. It gently started fizzing away and it had stunning bath art when it started to melt exposing a stunning variety of colour including; pink, peach and green. It went a beautiful vibrant coral like shade once it completed melted which looks beautiful as it also has sparkles inside it too.

Unfortunately for me, that's where the compliments for this funky looking bath bomb ends. The smell for me is just not right and I really don't think the combination of smells goes nicely together, it doesn't smell fresh, smells rather like a rather chalky fake peach sweet. Now I know everyone opinion is different but for me, it wasn't up there with my favourites.

The bath water did feel nice so it wasn't all that bad. It helped moisturise my skin ready for my body moisturiser after my bath.

Lushs Peachy Bath Bomb | Review
As much as I loved the bath art with this bath bomb, the fragrance just wasn't for me at all, unfortunately. I won't be rushing back to lush to repurchase this that for sure unless the change the formula then maybe.

On the price point, I do think its worth it as it costs £3.95 and it is a HUGE bath bomb and the design is pretty fun. Now even though it is not my favourite I am sure a lot of people will like this.

Loreal Infallible Foundation in Linen | Review

Loreal Infallible Foundation in Linen | Review
This is the second time I have bought the Loreal Infallible foundation in Linen so you can imagine how much I love it. I bought the Loreal Infallible Foundation as a budget-friendly substitute to using my premium Kat Von D lock it foundation as I only like using that more when I am going out somewhere special like a party or just when I feel like having a more intense makeup look.

My skin type is a combination, so it is dry in parts but it is also oily too in places such as my nose but dry in patches such as my cheeks and my chin. The most annoying thing about getting the right foundation is quite a lot can be too drying and make my dry skin look drier so looking out for a foundation to avoid that is something I look out for.
Loreal Infallible Foundation in Linen | Review
 The Infallible Foundation Range
They are 26 shades in their foundation selection and is described as a 24-hour fresh wear foundation with full coverage. Instead of feeling heavy and full coverage its turned the tables and is described as being lightweight, transfer proof, party proof and one of my favourites waterproof.

The formula is described as gel-like but I don't really agree with that because for me it's quite watery like a liquid foundation ( yes even if I do shake the bottle beforehand).

Applying the foundation is easy peasy if apply with either a makeup sponge or a foundation brush. Just 2 pumps of it are enough to cover my face which for me I think that's pretty amazing and means a little bit will go a long way with every bottle. ( My last bottle lasted 3 months before needing a new one, I probably used it 5 days out of 7 in those 3 months).
Loreal Infallible Foundation in Linen | Review
 Loreal Infallible Foundation In Linen
Finding the right foundation for me is blooming mission in itself, so many different foundations options have been given to me at beauty counters. I like to swatch them before buying to make sure they are right for me. Seeing as they are 26 shades in the range I swatched a few shades and linen was the right one for my skin tone.

Linen is described as being for fair-light skin with warm yellow undertones. It matches my skin perfectly even though I usually buy and use light-based foundations with neutral undertones, I did think this one was perfect for me as it gives my skin a slight sunkissed glow.
Loreal Infallible Foundation in Linen | Review

I love this foundation for so many reasons that I could shout it from the rooftops haha! I love the consistency of it so it's easy to apply ( especially with a beauty blender!) It is described as a full coverage foundation but I would say its medium to full so you could build it up to a finish you want.

It doesn't have much of a smell and the smell it does have is very delicate; my skin can be sensitive but this foundation doesn't irritate it at all. The finish of the foundation is a fresh and dewy look which I just love, it looks radiant.

As for the wear of the foundation before I do anything I like to apply a pore refining primer before applying the foundation to create a more even base, then after the foundation I like to wear a makeup setting spray to prolong not just my foundation but the rest of my makeup too. The foundation looks great for at least 8-10 hours depending on the daily activities.

The foundation costs £10.99 for 30ml of product which is an absolute steal for this foundation especially when it's on the 3 for 2 offer ( I always buy this on them lol)

Pixi Beauty Eye Reflections Shadow Palettes | Review

Pixi Beauty Eye Reflections Shadow Palettes
As soon as I got these Pixi Beauty eye reflection eyeshadow palettes and makeup brushes in the post my heart just skipped a beat, I was so excited to try them yall because the palettes are shimmery AF. The first palette is a mixture of neutral rich shimmery and matte shades. The second palette is a more warm and rich coppery based shimmer and matte themed palette. The makeup brushes come in a lovely lime green case and the brushes were the precision brush, crease brush and a shadow brush.

Pixi beauty is a cruelty-free beauty company who sell a variety of product including makeup, skincare and accessories such as makeup brushes.
Pixi Beauty Eye Reflections Shadow Palettes | Review
 Natural Beauty
This palette contains 12 intensely rich shadows. It has super silky shadows that help create a unique 3D look. As I said above the palettes contain, glow shades, metallic and mattes to transition the look.
Natural beauty is a more neutral palette perfect for everyday use seeing as it has a mixture of eyeshadow textures and neutral shades such as sheer sand, deep taupe and cocoa shimmer. I found that these eyeshadows look lovely on their own with cat eyeliner or blended together for more of a glow and stand out look.

My favourite eyeshadows in the natural beauty palette have to be petal, metallic rose and foiled bronze; the go beautifully together. Usually, with many neutral palettes out there they can have dry mattes but with this they were rich and smooth to use.
Pixi Beauty Eye Reflections Shadow Palettes | Review
 Reflex Light
This is my favourite palette from the two because I prefer warmer based palettes as it suits me more I think. As I said above with the natural beauty this palette also contains 12 stunning shades in glow shades, shimmer and of course mattes, the combination of them all makes a stunning 3D look that helps brighten and add light to the eye area.

Reflex light is a mixture of warm almost autumn like shades that have a variety of beautiful shades such as gold foil, copper penny and auburn blaze. The eyeshadows are absolutely stunning and not only are they a lovely silky texture but they are extremely rich and pigmented, no need for primer! ( take a look for yourself in the swatches below)

My favourites in the palette that I like using together is vanilla glitz, gold foil and copper penny, it brightens my eye area up and it's stunning.

My goodness another palette in the collection!!!!
In the collection, they happen to be another palette also in the collection and its called 'Mixed Metals' which is similar to the reflex light palette but redder/rose based shades.
Pixi Beauty Eye Reflections Shadow Palettes swatches
Absolutely amazing! I love each palette because they are easy to use, you don't need a primer and they are also easy to build up to create a makeup look you want. These palettes cost £24 each and for 12 eyeshadows that breaks down at £2 each for each eyeshadow which I think is a bargain considering how creamy and versatile these palettes are.

The makeup brushes are thick and soft; they apply these eyeshadows perfectly. Each brush has a sturdy handle and the bristles are made from pony hair.

Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Gel | Review

Takes a deep breath... I didn't know if I was going to post about this cleansing gel but I would rather be honest about it to you all.

Anyways first things first, I counted my makeup brushes the other day and I counted 42.. yep you read that correctly lol, I didn't even know I had that many (whoops). When it comes to makeup brushes I like to have a variety including brushes for foundation, eyeshadow and my favourite contouring.  Seeing as real technique brushes tend to my favourite makeup brushes out there I decided to get their branded brush cleansing gel seeing as the quality of their brushes is amazing, I thought their cleansing gel would follow suit. ( my favourites have to be the real techniques brush crush volume one collection.

Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Gel | Review
First I have to say the initial packaging it comes in is a blooming nightmare to get into but apart from that the actual bottle itself is pretty sturdy and nicely designed with its logo and simple enough to use the shampoo like click top. The back of the bottle gives you instructions on how to use the product and you get 150ml of product for £9.

The scent of the cleansing gel is barely anything but the smell it does have is a fresh natural smell. The gel is a thick clear liquid and getting the right amount out each time is losing a battle.

This a product that you use weekly as we all know its important wash brushes every week to keep them clean and reduce the risk of bacteria especially getting it near the eyes etc. Washing them weekly also helps keep brushes longer.

Product Features

  • Dermatologist test for gentleness
  • Not Tested on Animals
  • No Alcohol or Phthalates
  • Quick, clean rinse
  • Tested safe for real techniques brushes.
Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Gel | Review
How I used
I prepared a hand towel on the side to put my freshly cleaned brushes to reduce the amount of water and dampness in the bathroom. I also got out my trusty makeup cleaning egg which helps remove makeup out of brushes easier. Lastly not forgetting the cleansing gel and a spare 30 minutes, yep cleaning brushes can be time-consuming.

I like to wash my brushes separately too so I can make sure they are completely clean and get my full attention.
Steps
1. It says to apply the cleansing gel first but for me, it falls off as soon as I apply water so I like to wet the brush beforehand. I apply an almond amount to every brush.. so at least 40 plus almond size squeezes every time.
2. I swirl my brushes under the warm water on my cleansing egg.
3. I tap the excess water on the side of the sink before placing the washed brush on the hand towel and repeat the process with the rest of the brushes.

Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Gel | Review
My thoughts
Where do I start with this? I really had high hopes for this brush cleanser because I love the real techniques brushes but this for me was a major flop in my opinion. Getting the right amount of product was a blooding mission in itself and you could easily get way too much accidentally.

It doesn't foam much as at all and takes a lot of elbow grease (ffs) to actually clean the brushes with this cleansing gel, you need way more than you think till the brushes are clean. Some makeup was extremely hard to remove with this including eyebrow pomades, eyeliner gel and any eyeshadow that is like a foil.

For the money, it is rather expensive for the amount you get. I have used other brush cleaners that were cheaper that worked better which is a shame for this because as I said I just love the brand in general.

Have you tried the real techniques brush cleansing gel?
