My Beauty Favourites of February 2020

My Beauty Favourites of February 2020
Subjects are very varied on my blog but one of my favourite posts to do over the years has to be my monthly beauty favourites posts! Its pretty fun to look back and see what you liked at certain periods and to see how much it changed if any! Anyways last month was a mix of new products that I found and loved. Check out my last monthly favourites post here! I think I am still in shock that it's 2020! Since I have started blogging I must have written just around 500 blog posts but never found my place in blogging or the community but you know something not only have I found out more about me since 2019 I have also found a more steady foot in blogging and the community too which I am very happy about!

My Beauty Favourites of February 2020

My February 2020 Beauty Favourites

I only started using Pixi Liquid lipsticks since last year and my goodness I just love them! I love the applicator as its a smooth journey to apply the lipstick smoothly. I also like the scent of the product too which is subtle but noticeable when you open the lipstick. This nude shade has been used a heck of a lot by me last month as I usually just wore more natural makeup during that month.

I found this in-home bargains a few months ago and I just can't get enough of them! It helps keep foundation on longer and also gives my foundation a lovely dewy glow, LOVELY!

I can't help but get some lashes at least once a week! I love how they change a look effortlessly. Eyelure is so affordable and they are so many different types to choose from. I found these ones for under £5 in home bargains.

Milani Conceal and Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and concealer
I bought this last summer and it was the wrong shade for me as I had a little bit of tan, roll on to winter its perfect for me. It is quite a full coverage foundation so a little bit goes a long way with this. Another thing I love about this is that since its so full coverage, they are no need for concealer, brilliant!

Some days I cannot be bothered with styling my brows so that's when I like to use a brow gel to keep my brows looking on fleek without the work.

Bloom Blush in Pink Freesia
First thing I noticed with this blusher is its lovely design, it also has a lovely floral smell too (rose extract) which is rather nice. The blush is a lovely subtle peachy shade which is perfect for a natural flush look.
Full-Size RRP £9.50

Lord & Berry
20100 Maximatte Lip Crayon in Here and Now
A liner meets lipstick product, this is a matte red that glides on effortlessly even though it's matte. The fav part for me is you can use as a lipstick and a liner!
Full-Size RRP £14

Vitamasques
Lip Mask - Plump & Repair
Never really been into the hype of lip masks but since I got one I thought might as well see what they are all about. This mask is gel-like and infused with hyaluronic acid, collagen booster and mulberry extract. The mask is meant to help hydrate and plump the lips.
Full-Size RRP £4.99

Sand & Sky
Brilliant Skin Purifying
Pink Clay Mask
I got this last year in the January 2019 Birchbox and its rather nice to see it again ( thankfully not so soon, as I like trying new products and not duplicates all the time) I loved it last time as it has a 4-in-1 formula which detoxes, invigorates, refines and brightens the skin. It has a dose of pink clay, soothing aloe vera and pomegranate.
Sample Size (full size is £39.90)

Amika
RESET Exfoliating
Jelly Shampoo
I kinda wish they would send a conditioner sample too so you can get the gist of using both rather than wondering, you know? This is a 2-in-1 product which is a shampoo and scrub. It has charcoal, sea salt and pink clay to help purify, rebalance and soothe the scalp.
Sample Size (full size is £20)

Spacemasks
Rose Mask
I have tried the original version of this before and I just loved it. If you have an extra 15 minutes and want to relax then I would recommend these because they are so soothing and warming. This one is a bit different as it smells floral as it has rose-infused in it.
Full-Size RRP £3.50

Pop Beauty Permanent Pout Liquid Lipsticks Review

Pop Beauty Permanent Pout Liquid Lipsticks Review
This post contains PR/gifted items, no paid content. All opinions are my own

I was pleasantly surprised when I got this PR package a couple of months back. I have never tried or even heard of Pop Beauty before so I was very excited to give these Pop Beauty Permanent Pout Liquid Lipsticks a try!

Even though this brand is very new to me, it looks like the brand has been around for quite a while now. They have a big selection of makeup to choose from on their website including; foundation, eyeshadow and much more.

Pop Beauty permanent pot liquid lipsticks have 15 velvety matte shades in their collection, each costing £8 each. I was sent 9 of them which is very generous and also good so I can try a variety of them for a more in-depth review. They are long-wearing and kiss-proof with a paraben-free formula which isn't tested on animals. Not only were they 9 liquid lipsticks in the PR package but there were 2 cups which you can test the lipsticks don't smudge when you have a drink.
Pop Beauty Permanent Pout Liquid Lipsticks Review

So in the selection of lipsticks I got were the following.

Butter Babe💜/ Pink Tutu 💜 / Plump Peach / Poppy Pout / Coral Crush / Red Velvet 💜 / Berry Boost / Razzle Rose / OMG Violet

While applying the swatches I did notice that some of the shades took longer than others to dry but saying that each shade looks popping and my goodness they are super pigmented. Once dried they looked like a lovely velvety matte. Trying to remove the swatches was like a blooming comedy movie though, I tried every makeup remover in my cupboard and they couldn't shift these lipsticks completely, I felt like Mr Bean when he tried to fix the painting in the movie!! It took a few showers and lots of scrubbing to remove the swatches completely.

Since these are a matte formula I would highly suggest using these after using a lip scrub as they tend to stick to drier areas, so best use a smooth base for easier removal.

Most of the shades are opaque the first time you use them but some need a couple of layers to just make them pop. I do find that most of them last all-day no problems but some need reapplication.  They don't transfer when they have dried and they don't have any weird tastes or smells either.

Below are some swatches
Pop Beauty Permanent Pout Liquid Lipsticks
My favourites in the collection have to be Butter Babe ( a lovely pinky nude) Pink Tutu ( A soft dusky pink) and also Red Velvet ( a classic vibrant red). I am quite impressed with the formula and even though the swatches were a pain to remove, other times it was ok. I really like the packaging, the applicator and the price point, you can't go wrong with £8 for long-lasting lipstick. Trying these lipsticks has definatly made me more tempted to try more from the Pop Beauty range in the near future.

'Valentine's Day' Bright Makeup | Tutorial

I am not the biggest fan of Valentine's Day in the world but I do love the theme of it.  I adore the love hearts, flowers and the colour scheme too, which is where I got the inspiration for this makeup look.

Now, this look can be worn all year round because I sure do because I love bright colour makeup. But since its a few days till Valentines Day, I wanted to do a specific post for this makeup look. This look consists of a variety of different brands from budget-friendly to more premium-priced products. I will give budget and premium options for each item though.

Preparation
In my own opinion, I find makeup sits better on the skin if you do skincare beforehand and prepare your skin for makeup. Firstly I like to use cleanser, toner and then followed by moisturising/priming my skin.

Face
Foundation: I always go for my Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation lately as it has a lovely soft matte finish and lasts all day long.
Bronzer: When it comes to bronzer I used KVD Vegan Beauty Lock-it' Powder Foundation and I know its a foundation but it works wonderfully as a soft bronzer.
Highlighter: I got this Pixi Beauty Glow-y Powder in shade Wednesdays in my last PR package from Pixi and damn I just love it! It has a subtle yet noticeable pink hue that changes in a different light.

Eyes
Eyeshadow: My eye makeup is a blend of the Jeffree Star Mini Breaker and also the 'Blood Sugar Eyeshadow Palette'. I really enjoy the mix of purples, pinks and reds, they work wonderfully well. For the eyes, I used the shades from the Blood Sugar Palette; 'Extraction on the outer lid and also above the crease. I then used 'Cavity' on the middle and outer crease. I then followed on with Mini Breaker Palette; On the inner lid and lower lash line I used the shimmer shade 'Oral' and for brow highlight, I used 'Bubble Gum'.
Liquid lipstick or eyeliner: I like using Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks occasionally as an eyeliner and this shade is called 'Yes M'am'.
Mascara: I am not choosey with this as the false lashes finish the look for me but if you don't like them I would suggest a thickening mascara and eyelash curlers
False Lashes (if wanted) I like the more subtle/natural ones but fuller ones would definatly work with this look.

Brow's
Eyebrow pomade: To get a defining brow look I get my brow brush and apply my Revolution Pro Eyebrow pomade and define my brows into my desired shape, you choose whatever you like.
Eyebrow Setting Gel: To complete the brows I like to set my brows with an eyebrow gel. My current go-to in my Model Co brow gel.

Lips
Lip Scrub: Any will do but for me, Lush has some amazing choices! I am currently using Lush Lip Scrub in Sugar Plum. Using a lip scrub exfoliates the lips for a better base for a liquid lipstick.
Liquid Lipstick: Nude lipsticks suit this look the most I think and the one I used for this look is the Huda liquid lipstick in the shade, Venus.

Finally .....

SET IT
I like using a glowy makeup setting spray as it makes the makeup look dewier which I LOVE!

So Divine Vegan Friendly Lubricants | Review

So Divine Vegan Friendly Lubricants | Review
This post contains PR/gifted items, no paid content. All opinions are my own

Its been far too long since I have done a Dating
& Relationship-based post. So in time for the start of 2020, my blog will hopefully feature more posts like this one to take the taboo away from these products and share with you all my views on them etc. At the end of the day, I think these kind of things are positive, so I will continue to share my thoughts.

About the Brand
So Divine is a sex-positive adult toy company. Their website has many different things to choose from including lube, bullets and massaging wands. They have plenty of their affordable products in stores such as Asda, Superdrug, Boots, Tesco and also online.

They made their So Divine range suitable for everyone; men, women, straight, gay, couples and even singletons which is just amazing don't you think?

I was kindly sent 4 of their 8 lubricants to review on the blog.

My Favourite Makeup Products of 2019

I know I am very late at posting this post as it's now been a month since we entered 2020, can you believe it? I sure don't as 2019 went by so quickly don't you think? I have been saving up for a new camera so I waited until I bought one to do this post and the rest with it. I have had a few days testing the camera's settings to make sure it was a-ok for my blog posts. I am happy with my skills so decided nows better than never to do this post.

Anyways back onto the posts subject and I will start with saying that I had some amazing favourite makeup products of 2018 so i thought why not do the same for last years favourites eh? In 2019 I have tried some good and not so good products so I have compiled my most used into my favourites of 2019, so I hope you all enjoy reading this.
My Favourite Makeup Products of 2019

My Favourite makeup products of 2019

Now I wasn't sure I wanted the Jeffree Star Jawbreaker palette and with it being over £50 I decided to give it a miss as it's just not for me right now. I did, however, go for the mini breaker and my goodness I am so glad I did. It has a mixture of mattes and shimmers and I can create a variety of different looks with it ( as seen on my Instagram if you want to take a look) I find it easy to work with as its creamy and very pigmented.

I am very picky when it comes to liquid lipsticks as I have had my fair share of absolute rubbish ones over the past few years. Most of the Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks I have tried has been marvellous and can't fault them but Celebrity Skin has to be my favourite. Before trying this I would always wear bright lipsticks but this lipstick made me like nude shades so much more and with that my makeup skills have broadened in my opinion.

Bourjois Push Up Volume Glamour Mascara
Mascaras for me can be a right pain as some can be so flipping annoying when they flake and go in your eyes or simply run at the sheer sight of a tear but not this one! This one is super easy to apply, builds effortlessly and stays in place all day without flaking.

Fenty Pro Filt'R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
I usually buy premium foundations maybe once or twice a year as I love the quality of them. I got this one for my birthday in august and I must say I am in love with it. It matches my skin tone perfectly ( Fenty has so many shades and tones to choose from!) A little bit goes a long way with this but you can also build it up for more fuller coverage. It lasts all day and looks flawless till you take it off.

Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fu$$y
Lipgloss for me has always been a love-hate thing because I just hate it when lipgloss gets in your hair or it gets tacky or even worse has a funky chemically taste. I fell in love with gloss again when I started using these because the wand is lovely to apply the gloss with and the shade is lovely too as its dusky pink with shimmer. Another bonus is that it smells lovely.
My Favourite Makeup Products of 2019
Now, this actually appeared in my previous favourites post but I simply love it. It's easy apply an effortless contour with and also lasts. I really need to find a better bronzer as none have taken this off its winning spot for me yet.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer
Now you may think wow this must be an amazing concealer for coverage and what not but for me, it's more of a favourite for applying eyeshadow with. I like using this as a base for my eyeshadows and also for applying glittery shades on top of them. I use this most times when I want to create more of a glam look.

Pixi Glow-y Powder
I am quite choosy when it comes to highlighters because I love wearing over the top shimmer/glittery highlighter, you know something you can notice easily. The Pixi glow-y powders are just a great compliment to my contour and also as a detail for eyeshadow looks too.

What have your favourite makeup products of 2019 been? tell me below in the comments 💜
